JCC on Stage: Musical Mash-Up (Grades 1–5)

Mondays OR Tuesdays, 1/5–4/23; 4:15–5:30 pm


Turn up the volume and step into the spotlight! Our spring musical theater mash-up is going full-on pop, letting students choose the chart-toppers they can’t wait to perform. With actor-teaching artists Allie Scherich and Chris Williams as their guides, participants will belt it out, bust a move, act their hearts out, and make new friends while building performance skills and big-time confidence.


The grand finale? A dazzling performance for family and friends on Thursday, April 23 at 5:00 PM!

Inclusive Theater Collective


Inclusive Theater Collective (Ages 18+)

Wednesdays, January 7–February 11; 11:00 am–12:00 pm

$100 for Shames JCC members, $120 for non-members

 

This energetic 6-week class features theater games, improv, singing, and movement. We’ll weave in students’ favorite pop songs to bring extra spark to every session!

Inclusive Theater Collective: Musical Mashup (Ages 16+)

$350 for Shames JCC members; $375 for non members

 

Students will choose their favorite pop songs to bring to life, and we'll have a lively showcase for family, friends, and the community on 4/23.

Seussical the Musical, Grades 1-5 

Mondays OR Tuesdays, 9/8-12/18 (performance)

4:00–5:15 PM


Children will showcase their talents on stage while enhancing their communication, confidence, and creativity. This class welcomes students of all experience levels, from the seasoned performer to those stepping into the spotlight for the first time.

Inclusive Collective Theater Class (Ages 16+)

Mondays, 9/8–12/1

5:30–6:30 pm


This high-energy inclusive class for all abilities offers acting, improv, and music games, that help participants strengthen communication skills, collaboration, memory, sequencing, and gross motor coordination. Students practice working in a group, managing stage cues, and building confidence for a final public performance.

Set Design, Grades 2 and up

Tuesdays, 10/21–12/18

5:00–6:00 PM


Bring the world of the theater to life! Students will explore the basics of set design by sketching ideas and creating props and backdrops to be used in “Seussical the Musical”.
